Coronavirus Update

1st March 2021 Update – The government has announced that on the 8th March 2021 Care Homes can open to accept indoor visits provided certain criterion is met. Many of our Managers have been in consultation with their families and friends and the general consensus is to not open up for internal visits just yet. They wish to continue to utilise the Skype/Facetime and WhatsApp’s visits that have been taking place alongside window visits and hopefully, as the weather warms up, garden visits.

We really do understand the heartache of not being able to physically hug and kiss loved ones, but even with inside visits this will still have to be restricted to holding hands only, which can be done through windows and in the garden. That said, if an indoor visit is your only option to visit your loved one please refer to the manager of the Care Home and they will let you know what measures are in place to keep everyone as safe as possible.

End of Life visits will continue ensuring LFD testing has been completed and all PPE is worn together with social distancing from others; please discuss your individual requirements with the Home Manager.

We would like to let you know that if you are thinking of placing a loved one in one of our Care Homes we are now offering “personal viewings” for one person, provided they undertake an LFD test and wear all appropriate PPE for the viewing.

Thank you again for your continued support.

Introducing Charing Healthcare

We welcome you to our website; we hope that you will find it useful in your search for a care home. We know that this can be a very anxious time for some; however, from our experience over the last 20 years we will do our best to support you and your family/friends in the search for the right home to start the new chapter in your life.

We are a proactive company with family origins and currently have 10 Care Homes across Kent and Medway, delivering Residential Care, Dementia Residential Care, Nursing Care and also Learning Disability Nursing Care.

We work in partnership with Kent and Medway Councils together with the Local NHS for some services that we offer. Please contact the home of choice to discuss your requirements and whether or not we can support you.

We want to make our homes a “home from home” experience where possible, working on an ethos of understanding and respecting the significance of relationships between our staff and our residents; recognising roles, rights and responsibilities for all and creating opportunities for all. We also recognise the diverse community in which we live and welcome people who are LGBT (Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender) and from Black Minority Ethnic backgrounds.

Please take a look at each of our homes’ individual sites for more information about that home and who to contact.

I am more than happy to discuss with you any questions or queries you may have.

If you require any further information please don't hesitate in contacting me either on my mobile 07894 899140 or my office on 01634 584600, you can email me on heather@charinghealthcare.co.uk
