At Blair Park, we are delighted to have been awarded the highest standard rating from Kent County Council, making us a preferred provider for them as well as other local authorities. Blair Park can accomodate up to 43 residents and are able to accommodate funded as well as private clients with an extensive variation of accommodation from a standard bedroom to a large en-suite bedroom and large double rooms for married couples.
Blair Park has grown over the years, but still maintains its homely atmosphere. The home benefits from a lovely, bright conservatory which overlooks the back gardens and a beautiful new extension has been added to the front of the building. The front of the building also benefits from a new conservatory and patio area where the residents can enjoy relaxing on a sunny day.
Our commitment is to provide a warm and loving environment for our gentlefolk; our passion and high regard for the elderly has been the driving force in making Blair Park so successful. We are committed to providing personal care to each of our clients in a way that takes into account their individual and unique needs. To achieve this we promote independence, giving assistance when required, therefore maintaining a high standard of living with emphasis on dignity, integrity and respect. Our excellent care team are on hand twenty-four hours a day, and as a team they bring a variety of knowledge and expertise into the home.
We have a spacious dining room where meals are an important social aspect. The tables are laid with linen cloths and serviettes and all clients are offered the choice of where they would like to take their meals, either in the dining room or in their bedroom. We offer all our clients 3 meals a day, which are breakfast, lunch and high tea, as well as snacks and refreshments throughout the day. We offer a variety of dishes to choose from our menu each day for each meal. Blair Park has a seasonal menu, which works on a 4 weekly cycle. All our food is freshly brought in, homemade and nutritionally balanced, which we feel is very important. Our menu's may vary slightly depending on the client's needs/like's. Please feel free to take a look at our Winter Menu.
The home also offers a good service from professional bodies across a variety of areas; we are fortunate in having a good medical team close by. The district nurse visits regularly as does the chiropodist. We also have a hairdresser who visits the home weekly making use of our well equipped salon which is able to meet individual needs.
Blair Park Care Home prides itself on its social activities; we feel this is very important and adds to improved quality of life. We have our own Activities Co-ordinator who undertakes various activities within the home and offers outings to a number of different venues. Professional entertainment is also brought in; these include opera and classical singers from favorite shows, magicians and many more. We also organise "wine and wisdom", summer fetes, scone & tea parties and we always try to include families so that they feel involved in their relative's care.
